Mako Cosplay

Costume based on Mako from the upcoming The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra. Here I am in the house of a local sewing expert who made it. Still need to find the proper belt and I might want to get a different scarf. I also forgot that there's red trimming along the shoulder seams and so I'm hoping to get that added soon.

Never cosplayed before, but after going to Comic-Con for the first time and witnessing the unveiling of so many amazing details about the new series, I've felt really inspired to get this done.

I know I didn't make the costume, but I picked out the materials and have had close supervision over the project. Of course, one of the most important components in any costume is the wearer, and the fact that my physique so closely resembles Mako's is partly the reason why I've been so compelled to do this. This is just the first stage. I'm hoping to surprise people with some of the future developments which I plan to unveil in the coming months and are way more exciting than this.
